Project details
This Gloucester pub was victim of serious flooding during Christmas 2012 which made headlines of local newspapers in Gloucester. Access to the pub was restricted by surrounding flood water, which threatened their business at one of the busiest times of the year.
The solution: Oriel Systems were given the task of monitoring water levels in the area for flood prevention. Our system controls upstream to downstream flow, by installing automated penstocks. As a result, this area has not been flooded since.
